Arrival and Departure
Check-in time is from 1.00 pm
Check-out time is prior to 11.00 am
Early check-in or late check-out is available dependent on other bookings and upon request. Although our team members are available 24 hours a day, we would appreciate your advising us if you expect to arrive after 6.00 pm.
Children of all ages are welcome to stay at Challenge Chaser Retreat however they must always be under the constant supervision by a parent/adult guardian. Note: There are many open dams and waterways on the property which are not supervised. There are also wild and domestic animals on the property. Challenge Chaser Retreat and its staff take no responsibility for the care or supervision of children.
Children and Infants may not stay in any room without an Adult.
Children and Infants sharing a room with their parents or guardians may do so at a reduced rate. 0 to 4 yrs are free of charge (subject to using your own travel cot), 4 to 12yrs are $75.00 per head per night, and 12 to 16yrs are $100.00 per head per night.
Accepted Payment Methods
When paying us directly, we ask for a bank transfer, once the payment has been received, your booking is secure. We ask for a 20% non-refundable deposit with the remaining balance due 14 days prior to your stay. We do not have credit card facilities on site. If your group size increases near the time of your stay, and we can accommodate you, we allow payment for these extra guests via cash. This is only accepted when the group is four or more.
Should you need to cancel your reservation we ask that you advise us at least 14 days prior to your arrival date. There will be no charge should you cancel outside of these 14 days.
Cancellations within 14 days to 48 hours prior to your arrival will incur 50% of the full fee equal to your stay.
Cancellations within 48 hours or no-shows will incur the full fee of the total accommodation charge.
In the event of a natural disaster whereby guests are unable to attend and notify us within the 14 day notice period of their stay, we shall credit the guests, their full stay, valid for a 12 month period prior to a full refund.
Should you fail to arrive on the scheduled day of your reservation, your room will be held until the following morning at 11:00 in case you have been unforeseeably delayed and are unable to contact us. Should you not arrive by this time your reservation will be canceled and the total accommodation charge which will be applied to your credit card.
After check-in, should you shorten your stay, full payment will be forfeited.
Rates and Minimum Length of Stay Requirements
Our rates vary by day of the week and season; weekends and school holidays are always in high demand. During periods of high demand or major events and for certain packages we may apply a requirement for a minimum length of stay. You will be advised of this at the time of your reservation.
Gratuities and Service Charges
Tips and gratuities to our team members are at our guest’s discretion and we do not apply any compulsory service charges.
Smoking and drinking
We are heavily against smoking at the retreat and it is not permitted in any of the buildings. Depending on the season, we will advise you where you can and can't smoke. We are unable to supply alcohol, and so we run as a BYO establishment. It is at the owners' discretion as to when patrons are deemed intoxicated and asked to stop.
Small Pets and Animals
No pets and animals are allowed on the premises at Challenge Chaser Retreat.
Communications and Privacy
If you contact us by email and standard mail or through this website you agree to allow us to contact you in the future and that this may include promotional material regarding upcoming events, special offers, or general information. We will never use your name and information for any other purpose nor provide it to any other party without your prior permission or where legally obliged to do so. Any communication that we may send you will include the opportunity for you to unsubscribe.

We encourage group bookings and like to personally welcome all group members and to provide the utmost and friendly and personal service. Please advise us in advance if your party will be traveling together or separately. Bookings of 7+ will automatically reserve the retreat for their own groups' private and exclusive use. We welcome the opportunity to assist your party with advice on local activities, events and entertainment, special experiences, and even airport transfers. Please contact the team a few days prior to your arrival should you request personalized group fitness sessions with our onsite personal trainer or a privatized group outing to be organized.
We constantly challenge ourselves to provide the right environment for our guests and team members through the promotion of environmental awareness. We train our team members to incorporate good environmental practice in all aspects by periodically reviewing our practices, procedures, and objectives. The retreat is solely run on solar power so please be aware our power usage is limited. We also adhere to local and state environmental rules. These include, during fire bans, that no fires, under any circumstances are acceptable. Should local and /or state environmental rules are broken, the owners are allowed to ask patrons to leave without any question and without any compensation required.
